The Long Awaited...Furnished...Yea Right...

Getting Cozy...
Its been a week or so in which I have been sleeping here at The Lamsion. It has been quite fun. Everyday I realize I am missing A, B, C and then I wake up and go buy it. Today I went to Target and picked up some placemats [I opted for the vinyl one, 3.99 vs 1.99 cloth ones] and some good undershirts, since you know your boy be skinnier now. On a tangent, I done made a bet. 15lbs in 29 days. I am on day 14 and have lost 9lbs already. I got a slim 6 to go, cake son. But I have been really eating close to nothing [most of the time, sans reunion weekend] and drunk $50 Carl's Jr. bags. I had the following to eat today: 1 Peach, 1 Beef Patty from a 3 day old Carl's Jr Jalepeno burger, 1 Bagel Bite [yes one.] and 3 cups of Diet Dr. Pepper. Oh yeah and a half bowl of cereal at 11am. I did the following exercise: Isanity [Max Cardio, FML.], Basketball for half an hour and then two softball games. I am doing great right now, I feel so skinny. Haha.
I apologize for the lack of photo updates. I do not have my freaking card reader here and cannot update my pictures. But I am going to take some pics of how my room should be set up. Sorry for the shitty updates, but the reunion took a lot out of me and I am finally fully recoverd. No joke, best, or 2nd to best party of the year. Second to The Lamsion housewarming. Here are some examples of how great the party was:

I must be from DC. Cause I just pulled that trigger.
Yep. It's done son. Paid for it. Delivered tomorrow. Here is a blurry pic. After much deliberation. I went with an impulse purchase. Those are the best, cause if you fcking hate it, it ain't yo fault.
Now, let me tell you the story behind this wonderful furniture set. So I had lunch with Kathy and Mad today and tried to explain to them the situation about my bedroom set. Kathy was one of the two people who voted no, against it. She said it was Ikea-ish and also girly. That really made me think. So after my salad with dressing on the side and 4 fries from Pluto's, I made my drive over the Scandinavian Design. As I was about to turn into it, I saw a sign. FURNITURE LIQUIDATION. STORE CLOSING. We've all seen that everywhere, its just a way to get someone into the store and then rail them. I decided to do my due diligence and just stop by, walk through and then give ScanDes my credit card. I walk in and immediately fall in love with the bed set above.
It was black.
It was not Ikea-ish.
It was sturdy.
It was real wood.
It was slick.
It was MANLY.
I was sold. Now I had to come up with THE PLAN. I was trying really hard to decide which angle I was going to go with: The Honest Approach vs The Nothing To Lose Approach. I knew I was walking out with those pieces, I just did not know how low I could get it. Right off the bat, I see the "Clearance Price" of $1295. Give me a fcking break, it better come with the owner's daughter at that price. I sit there and start texting pictures of it to Tum and then the guy notices that I have been there for a bit.
He walks over and says, "you like?"
I look up and say, "yeah it is cool."
Furniture Guy: "You like it, I give you good price, you buy?"
Nothing To Lose Approach Pat: "Of course. But I do not want that mirror, I want a second nightstand."
FG: "Ok, let me see $1295 + $179, $1400 out the door. What do you say?"
NTLAP: "Haha, that is cute, no thanks. I was on my way to SD and am ready to buy a set there, but if you can convince me otherwise I am on my way out. Give me your best price, I will pay cash right now."
FG: "Ok, cash? $1300 delivered."
NTLAP: "You have to be kidding me. Thanks for your help, I am going to look around."
FG: "Ok, sorry I can't do better, what do you want to pay?"
NTLAP: "A fair price, SD can deliver my set and have it installed for 800 [this was a lie, but it set a bargaining point and I wanted to let him know I was ready to play ball. even if I was going to pitch a shutout, he was down.] and it is brand name."
FG: "No way, not possible. Sorry."
NTLAP: "No problem, thank you."
At this point, I realize they put the prices of the pieces on the back of the "Clearance Price" and started to do some maff [that is mathematics for your fools].
Bed: $349
Dresser: $399
Nightstand: $179
Mirror: $169
I ain't a genius, but no matter if you carry the one twice or forget to round down, that is no where near $1295. So I knew this was my angle. It was over. I was going to exploit this smuck and fcking run this town [at least I'd like to think that, I know they won't sell shit without making a pretty penny. I ain't that dumb]. So I walk over to him and have this conversation:
Exploitation Pat: "Hey, so if I just want the bed, how much would it be?"
Furniture Guy: "Let me see, $349."
EP: "Oh ok, I might just do that...what if I just want the bed and 2 nightstands and no dresser."
He gets the thing again and flips it over.
FG: "The bed is $349 and each nightstand will be $179."
EP: "Ok, and how much if I don't want the nightstand but I want the dresser?"
FG: "$399."
EP: "Ok, that adds up to $1050, so you what else is included if I buy the set at the Clearance Price?"
FG: "Oh, sometimes these prices are wrong, but the front one is always right. So it is $1300 cash still."
EP: "Haha, look, if I bought it piece by piece it would have been a grand, I am not going to pay your listed price, but I am going to buy a bedroom set today. It might be from you or it might be from SD. I truly do not care, they both are the same. Let me know the best you can do. I won't counter, I will just buy or leave."
FG: "Ok, let me ask my uncle."
I get on GChat and tell people I am about to run this store. Then he comes back.
Furniture Guy: "Ok, he said $860 but you pick it up."
Pat The Owner: "Good job, done."
He probably made a hundred bucks off of me. No biggie. I was going to give SD 1k and now I saved 100 bucks and got a real legit wood bedroom set. Today was a good day.
Tomorrow looks like this:
9am: Comcast
10am: Costco
10am: Safeway
10am: California Ranch
11am: Cook Lunch
12pm: Lunch with Guest, Nicole.
3pm: Wait for my bedroom set.
4pm: Return party furniture.
5pm: Insanity.
6pm: Basketball. Ruin Peter.
9pm: Twin Creeks. Softball with Rip City.
11pm: Paint Baseboards.
Mom said I'm busier than the president. If she said it, it must be true.
Btw its 3am and I just finished this:
My bedroom is caulked and painted. Ready for the new furn. Goodnight.

I just got back from The Lamsion after Tum and I assembled 4 bar stools. They are air adjustable black/chrome from BBB [Bed Bath and Beyond for you non cool people]. Yep, they were a steal. 69.99 a piece, but with 4 20% off coupons from Stephanie Pham, they became 55.99, times four and minus gift cards from the Patel's [Hemminway Shoutout] these four bad boys were a whooping 218.xx out the door. Enjoy the classy-ness.

We went to the Grove [Monica's place] to pick up some stuff Nicole graciously left us. 1 garbage bag and 2 cardboard boxes. Inside were tons of stuff such as seasoning, silverware, tupperware, knives and so much to list. We cleaned it out and kept what we needed!
